  • About | Brandywine Plaster | Professional plaster craftsmen

Professional plaster craftsmen specializing in Moroccan tadelakt waterproof lime plaster, historic and residential plaster repair, and lime plaster. Tadelakt plaster is our expertise and passion. About Us Since founding Brandywine Plaster in 2001, Pete Dandolos has been a passionate advocate for historic preservation and restoration. Over the last 20 years, Pete has worked on dozens of historic house projects and house museum restorations including the Ernest Hemingway House in Key West, FL. the Flannery O'Connor House in Milledgeville, GA. and the T.R.R. Cobb House in Athens, GA. Sharing his passion and knowledge along the way, Pete continues to advocate for historic preservation while working closely with foundations and endowments to preserve local historic architecture. In 2010 It was this combined love of history and architecture that inspired Pete to study and practice the ancient and lost art of Moroccan tadelakt. Having served as both a functional and decorative plaster finish throughout the ancient world, from North Africa to India, tadelakt is unmatched in both its beauty and longevity. From decorative and ornate, hand carved exteriors to basins and bathhouses, tadelakt was widely used for centuries and passed down through generations by master craftsmen traditionally called "Malam" or "teacher" as translated from ancient Arabic. With respects to the ancient traditions and customs, Pete has been an avid practitioner of the art of tadelakt for over a decade and is considered one of North America's most prolific professional plaster craftsmen Learn More
